Events happening Saturday July 21st at Pilot Mound's Hot Air Balloon Festival

We've got a GREAT day planned on Saturday with something for everyone!

Hot air balloons - distance rides at sunrise

The hot air balloons will get fired up and floating early in the morning - between 6 and 6:30AM. If you're an early riser, there's no better way to start your day.

Waffle Breakfast - Kin Center - 7:30AM - 11:30AM

Ready for breakfast?

The Roman Catholic Ladies won't disappoint you with their mouth-watering Belgian Waffles served up with whipping cream and strawberry sauce, along with hot coffee, tea, or juice for $5.00.

If you are tempted to have another waffle, they are charging $1.00 per extra waffle.

There's just no better way to get energized for the rest of the days events.

Mound Fest Ball Tournament - Winram Field - 9:00 a.m.

A fun-based ball tournament for regular recreation ball teams and families alike. Pack your equipment, and be sure to register with Darryl Morrow at 204-825-2244 by July 1st.
Beer Gardens open at 11:00 a.m.

Golf tournament all day - PM Town & Country Golf Club

For the golfers in the crowd, we've got a laid back golf tournament planned. You can tee-off at any time Friday evening, Saturday & Sunday. Rounds must be completed by 1pm Sunday. Please visit the golf tournament link for more details.

Bicycle Parade - Mound Park -10:00 AM

Kids - get your bikes out and decorate them up!

Participants should meet at the tennis courts at 9:30.

Prizes will be awarded at the end of the parade for most original in a 8 & under and 9 & older categories.

Swimming Pool open until 10PM

The staff at the pool is once again keeping the pool open late, and will have games and races happening all day.

Water Balloon Tournament & Other water & balloon games
Mound Park - 1:00 p.m.

Water carnival games, relay races, balloon volleyball, etc. All activities will involve water and/or balloons so plan to get wet!

Rock Lake Funtown Daycare & Louise Roblin Recreation District's Children's Activities

In addition to all of the fun above, RLFTD & LRRD are combining to bring a petting zoo and inflated children's play structure to the Balloon/Mound Fest agenda at Winram Field. Great entertainment for kids of all ages!

Pork Loin BBQ Supper - Winram Field - 5 - 7PM

Saturday evening's meal will be deliciously barbequed pork loin on a bun, along with potato salad, pork & beans, coleslaw, a drink & a dixie cup for $8.00. Kid's plate - $4.00. Just the perfect meal to keep you going for the rest of the day's events. Marringhurst Historical Society is once again preparing this mouth watering meal.
